Mid-year renewals may see new drivers and demand boost, no jolt to trend

The mid-year reinsurance renewals, with their US property cat focus, may yet see the market’s seemingly ever-rising capacity face a boost on the demand side as US cedant buying trends, structural changes in the key Florida market and a whiff of global turmoil could bring hints of long-lost demand factors back into the equation, leading re/insurance brokerages suggest of the cards now being dealt.
