Miller swoops on Everest to bolster fine art and specie unit
Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has hired an underwriter from Everest to bolster its fine art and specie capabilities.
Lance Thorpe has joined the business as a specie account executive. Thorpe brings over 15 years of experience across the sector, most recently working as an underwriter at Everest. He has also held both underwriting and broking roles during his career, including at Parker Norfolk & Partners and Willis Towers Watson.
Miller’s fine art and specie team, launched in 2023, is led by Annabel Fell-Clark who has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, having worked as an underwriter at both Hiscox and Ascot, as well as serving as the CEO of AXA’s UK art division.
Giovanni Sard, account executive, who joined from Lonmart Insurance where he focused on large global programmes and bespoke insurance solutions, and trained at Sotheby’s, working closely with various specialist departments.
Hilary Copp, account executive, who has over 10 years of direct experience working with the US market, holding both underwriting and broking roles in London and New York.
