Agile Topsail Re shrinks to suit market; eyes cat re launch when time right

Topsail Re’s CEO anticipates its premiums written will shrink slightly in 2026 to around $1.2 billion, as a result of exercising caution and underwriting discipline in a softening market. But this ability to adjust its appetite can work the other way – he intimated it could enter the property-cat space when the market turns again.
