‘If the wind doesn’t blow’ rates won’t recover: Westfield Specialty

The lack of loss activity and an increase in mergers and acquisitions are likely to add continuing pressure on rates, however the industry should see pockets of hardening in specialty lines, particularly as the Baltimore Bridge collapse, Russia/Ukraine aviation war losses and Middle East conflict losses become more apparent.
