AIG deputy CFO Wismer to leave

American International Group's (AIG) deputy chief financial officer and chief accounting officer  Jonathan Wismer is leaving at the end of the month to "pursue other opportunities".

Wismer has served as the company’s principal accounting officer since August 2018. Previously, he served as group controller for Zurich Insurance Group, based in Zurich, and CFO of Liberty International. He also held senior financial and regulatory reporting leadership positions at Allianz Group in Munich and at KPMG.

AIG's board of directors appointed Elias Habayeb to succeed Wismer in addition to his current role as senior vice president and CFO of general insurance.

Prior to his current role, Habayeb was the company’s senior vice president, deputy chief financial officer and group controller from July 2015 to August 2018. Before that, he served as the company’s senior vice president, deputy chief financial officer.
