AIR Worldwide releases cat risk solution

Catastrophe modelling firm AIR Worldwide has released AIR Cloud, a hosted cloud solution for its catastrophe risk management platforms, Touchstone and Catrader.

AIR Cloud enables a company to conduct all of its analyses remotely while minimizing capital expenditure.
It supports integration of Touchstone with the customer's existing business systems using application programme interfaces (APIs).

Warren Hopper, vice president of Bancorp South Insurance, said: "Deploying our catastrophe modelling environment to the AIR Cloud is a safe, dependable choice that provides all the functionality of an on-premises installation while reducing our IT spend.

"With AIR's hosted cloud solution, we don't have any infrastructure, maintenance, or hardware procurement concerns, and we were up and running in a matter of days. We're extremely pleased with our overall user experience on the AIR Cloud. The process has been seamless, and the performance mirrors that of an on-site implementation."

Peter Lewis, senior vice president of Air Worldwide, added: "AIR is committed to providing clients with the catastrophe modelling environment that works best for their organization, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

"Increasingly, companies are looking for ways to perform sophisticated risk management analyses without undertaking the large capital expenditure required to build a catastrophe modelling environment on-site. With the AIR Cloud, clients can leverage the high-performance technology of Touchstone to conduct all their analyses remotely."
