AJG appoints chief service officer

Arthur J Gallagher has appointed Vishal Jain, who currently oversees the company's service centre operations, as chief service officer.

In this new role, Jain will lead Gallagher's ongoing efforts to enhance customer service while improving operational efficiency and quality across divisions. In addition, the company's board of directors has appointed Jain a corporate vice president.

He will report directly to J Patrick Gallagher, chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Prior to joining Gallagher, he spent over 15 years as a management consultant with Bridge Strategy Group, Renaissance Solutions and McKinsey & Company, assisting Fortune 1000 companies in addressing a range of strategic and operational issues.

Gallagher said: "Our customers have increasingly complex insurance and risk management programmes. Administering these programs efficiently and accurately will continue to be a key priority for the company and distinguishes Gallagher in the industry.

“Vishal has a deep knowledge of our various operating divisions, and a proven track record in building and managing world-class operations focused on service and quality. His leadership skills, operational expertise and customer focus make him ideally suited to lead our continuing efforts to improve service, quality and efficiency across our global organisation."
