Allianz appoints new regional underwriting manager from QBE

UK general insurer Allianz has appointed QBE's Jon Hesketh for its engineering, construction and power unit.

Hesketh joins as the new regional underwriting manager for Manchester. He will be responsible for all technical underwriting activity in the region, as well as the training and technical development of the team.

Hesketh has been working at QBE for the last nine years, where he ran the Manchester & North West liability account, comprising of construction and related trades.

Karen Boothroyd, regional business manager said: “I am delighted to welcome Jon to the team. His experience and capability will be of huge benefit to the role. As we look to build on crucial relationships Allianz has in this important region, Jon’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to this market.”
