MS&AD's Mitsui Sumitomo creates new global digital hubs in innovation strategy

Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSI), a subsidiary of Japanese insurance group MS&AD, has set up two digital hubs in Tokyo and Singapore to support the company's digital transformation strategy.

MSI aims to promote the adoption of digital technology across the organisation to enhance customer experience and business productivity.

The Japanese insurer said that the new hubs will further accelerate its digital initiatives and the overall understanding of digitalization amongst its employees and agents. It will also help in cultivating and experimenting new ideas within the business.

MSI said the Tokyo global digital hub will develop innovative products and services that solves societal challenges and contribute to society as per the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Meanwhile, the Singapore hub will support digital initiatives in the ASEAN market, gather information on digital technology, and promote open innovation with business partners and start-ups.
