Aon lands Zurich/Allianz talent to expand global yacht practice

Re/insurance broker  Aon has strengthened its global yacht practice with the hiring of a marine specialist from Zurich Insurance.

Charles Knight (pictured) has been appointed global yacht manager, specialist in yacht, and pleasure craft. He will report to Emma Carpenter,  Aon's global yacht leader.

Knight has more than 18 years of marine insurance experience and will drive the development of  Aon’s small yacht offering for the UK, Europe, and then globally.

He joins from Zurich Insurance-owned Navigators & General where he was responsible for the companies yacht, delegated authority and commercial marine sales and development, for seven years. Prior to that, he was underwriter for yacht at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

"Charles has a wealth of experience, strong track record, and extensive knowledge of all the complexities of small yachts. We are pleased to welcome him to the team as we focus on deepening our specialist expertise and see significant potential for growth in this area", Carpenter said.

Knight added: "I'm delighted to join  Aon and look forward to supporting its impressive network of clients, helping them access smaller craft solutions and better capitalise on diversified opportunities.”
