Aon taps QBE veteran to take senior capital advisory role

Aon has tapped a QBE veteran as chief strategy officer for capital advisory, based in Bermuda.

Jim Fiore joins the broker after almost three decades with QBE, which he joined in 1992.

Over the years, Fiore held various roles with the business, most recently as chief reinsurance officer. Until 2021, he was also group chief reinsurance officer and president of Blue Ocean Re, QBE’s Bermuda-domiciled captive and its subsidiary Equator Re.

Previously Fiore was a vice president at English & American and began his career as a senior underwriter with US International Reinsurance.

Aon launched its Capital Advisory unit in 2018 to help clients manage capital better through risk transfer solutions.
