ArgoGlobal hires professional indemnity underwriter from Starr

ArgoGlobal, a Lloyd's insurer and member of Argo Group, has appointed Paul Harris as professional indemnity (PI) underwriter. He will report to PI class underwriter James McPartland.

Harris joins ArgoGlobal from Starr Companies, where he served in the same position. Prior to that, he held the role of assistant professional indemnity underwriter at AmTrust at Lloyd’s.

McPartland commented: "The demand for specialist professional indemnity cover is growing, and insureds are increasingly aware of the need to safeguard their businesses and intellectual property.

"We have identified clear opportunities to expand our presence in this sector by developing synergies across the Group and by working with our broking partners. Paul is a highly skilled underwriter who shares our service-driven philosophy and he will be a key part in maintaining our growth in this market. I am very pleased to welcome him to the team."
