Arthur J Gallagher hires mining specialist from JLT Specialty
Insurance brokerage and risk management firm Arthur J Gallagher has hired mining specialist Stuart Hill as a director to strengthen its global mining and property capabilities.
Hill was previously a partner in JLT Specialty’s mining practice having joined the firm in 2010, with territorial client experience stretching from South Africa and Africa to Latin America and Australia.
Hill will be based in London and report to Neil Stewart, managing director of global & corporate, which provides comprehensive cross-class risk and insurance support to corporate businesses on a global basis.
In his new role at Arthur J Gallagher, Hill will focus on business development, client servicing, account management and placement.
Stewart said: "Stuart is a great strategic hire for us, enabling us to build out our core strengths in terms of experience and expertise, and further enhance our offering for international mining and property clients — wherever they are based.
