Assurant appoints CEO of Assurant Solutions in Europe

Assurant, the global provider of specialty protection products and related services, has appoints Andy Morris as president and chief executive officer of Assurant Solutions in Europe.

Assurant Solutions, a business segment of Assurant, specialises in mobile device protection and extended protection programmes and services in North and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.

Morris was formerly chief marketing officer for Assurance Solutions in Europe. He will be based in the UK and report to Keith Demmings in his new role.

His leadership experience within European and global business-to-business service providers spans more than 20 years. He has played a pivotal role in the organisation since 2006 when he was appointed business development director for Lifestyle Services Group, which was acquired by Assurant in 2013.

He was promoted to chief marketing officer of Assurant Solutions in Europe in 2014. In this role, Morris led the development of new and existing client relationships, company acquisitions and operational expansion, and customer solutions that have increased the delivery of products and services to more than 30 million European customers.

“He has been appointed to develop successful and sustainable business strategies to grow the European business, whilst continuing to strengthen Assurant’s focus on the customer.

Morris added: “Having been with the company now for more than 10 years I have experienced many different transitions including the acquisition of Lifestyle Services Group by Assurant and our expansion into France.
