Australia’s Insurance Council Board appoints three directors
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has made three new appointments to its board of directors.
Vivek Bhatia, QBE Insurance CEO Australia & New Zealand operations, has joined as a director following the promotion of Patrick Regan to group CEO, QBE Insurance.
Richard Feledy, managing director, Allianz Australia, has come on board following the promotion of Niran Peiris to the board of management of the global Allianz Group.
Lastly, Sue Houghton, general manager of insurance, BT Financial Group, has joined as a director.
ICA CEO Rob Whelan said: "The appointees had extensive experience in the general insurance sector and would provide invaluable insights and guidance at a time when the sector was facing several key public inquiries."
