Barbican promotes senior Syndicate exec
Barbican Group Holdings has promoted David Booth to the position of active underwriter, Syndicate 1955, with effect from January 1 2014.
Booth will report to Ken Curtis, managing director, Barbican Managing Agency. He will also continue in his current role as head of marine, aviation and transport.
Booth has over 20 years of experience in the London and European insurance and reinsurance markets. Prior to joining Barbican in 2008, he was business unit manager at Endurance Worldwide Insurance, managing the firm’s specialty underwriting department. During his extensive career, he has held a number of underwriting positions, including: deputy marine underwriter at Folksam International, marine underwriter for Cologne-based Europa Ruckversicherüng and marine reinsurance underwriter for DS Christiansen Syndicate 958.
