Berkshire's BHSI names US professional lines leader

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Jill Salmon to head of professional lines for the US.

In her new role, Salmon will oversee the company’s lawyers, architects & engineers, miscellaneous E&O and cyber liability insurance portfolios.

Salmon has over 25 years of industry experience, primarily focused on professional lines. She joined BHSI in 2014 as vice president, head of cyber, technology and miscellaneous E&O.

Dave Bresnahan, executive vice president of BHSI, said: “Jill has played a pivotal leadership role in developing our professional lines business. She has exceptional technical knowledge of professional lines underwriting and claims issues, and we are pleased to elevate her to this new position where she will have an even greater impact on our customers, our brokers, and our organisation.”
