BMS appoints group chief operating officer
BMS Associates has appointed Toby Ducker as its new group chief operating officer.
Ducker replaces Roger Cooper, who retires at year-end after 28 years of service to the firm, and will report directly to Dane Douetil, group chief executive officer, and will join the company’s Group Executive Committee.
Ducker has more than 10 years of experience in the London market, most recently advising BMS Group and other organisations on strategic and operational change. Prior to this, he spent a number of years at Brit Insurance in roles that included leading the company’s strategic change function and Solvency II implementation.
“We are delighted to welcome Toby to BMS,” said Doueti. “Toby’s skills and experience will be hugely valuable during the next phase of BMS’ growth. He has an important mandate to support me and the leadership team in driving top- and bottom-line growth, leading strategic change to best position the Group to take advantage of the many opportunities available to us.”
Ducker said: “BMS Group has built a strong platform across a number of different segments. I am delighted to be asked to join the leadership team and eager to help them deliver on the Group’s ambitious growth plans. This will require disciplined execution and collaboration in order to deliver high-quality change across the organisation.”
