Brit CFO appointed chair of LMA finance committee

Brit’s chief financial officer (CFO) Mark Allan has been appointed new chairman of the finance committee of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA). Allan succeeds John Dunn, CFO of Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), in the role.

The LMA finance committee leads on financial issues and requirements affecting Lloyd’s managing agents and syndicates.

In addition, Hermien Smeets-Flier, Aegis London CFO has been appointed deputy chair of the LMA finance committee, replacing Martin Bride from Beazley.

The LMA's finance committee monitors key financial topics and their likely impact, while liaising with Lloyd’s senior management on issues affecting the market that require practitioner input.

Allan commented: “I am delighted to accept the role of chairman of the Finance Committee, whose work across multiple issues affecting the market is invaluable to LMA members. I look forward to leading the important work of the Committee.”
