Markel gets green light for UK branch
Specialist insurer Markel's German insurance company Markel Insurance (MISE) has received regulatory approval to operate a branch office in the UK.
MISE was established to meet the insurance needs of clients located or with risk exposures in the European Economic Area (EEA) following Brexit and the UK branch will support brokers and policyholders in underwriting EEA exposures through London.
MISE's other branches are located in Spain and the Netherlands.
