Brokerslink adds a large Middle East broker to global network

Global broking business  Brokerslink has expanded its Middle East footprint with a new affiliate, which is headquartered in Abu Dhabi with operations in 13 countries across the region.

Brokerslink has added Associated Insurance Consultants (AIC) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its global network as an affiliate, giving the network local broking expertise in eight Middle Eastern countries.

AIC, launched in Beirut, Lebanon in 2001, will now represent Brokerslink in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan.

AIC is led by Group CEO Walid Nehme who joined the business in 2007 and has helped grow the company to 156 employees who represent over 30,000 insureds and $58 million in annual premiums.

The broker’s core lines of business include property, casualty, marine, engineering, and employee benefits. AIC also works in a range of personal lines which cover life and non-life products and specialty lines which include bloodstock, cyber and political risks.

José Manuel Fonseca from Brokerslink said: “We are very pleased to announce the further expansion of Brokerslink into the Middle East through our newest global affiliate, AIC. Their knowledge and expertise of working with local brokers throughout 8 countries in the Middle East will be a significant asset to Brokerslink.”

Nehme added: “I am looking forward to working with the other companies within the Brokerslink network. This represents a strong opportunity to build new business partnerships for AIC, and add value and opportunities for the network across the Middle East.”
