Brokerslink to focus on ‘unique broking alternative’

The 2014 Brokerslink Global Conference, set to take place in Venice, Italy, on October 9 and 10, will focus on creating a unique broking alternative aimed at fuelling growth in emerging markets and delivering increasingly complex risk solutions for global clients.

Over 200 broking delegates from 70 countries are expected to participate along with representatives from leading insurers and risk services providers.

The first day of the conference, which is for Brokerslink members only, will focus on the development of the network and creating strategies that will enable independent brokers to win global business when competing against multinational rivals.

Friday, 10 October is the main conference day and will be open to all members of the global insurance market. The diverse range of themes to be covered will include new perspectives on the global insurance market, the delivery of weather risk solutions and raising insurance standards in Africa.

José Fonseca, chairman of Brokerslink, said: “The 2014 Brokerlink Global Conference will concentrate on developing innovative strategies that will help independent brokers seize the moment and collectively win large international clients. To achieve this we plan to bring the leaders of over 60 brokers together with pre-emanate experts to hothouse new ideas though a combination of connection, commitment and creativity.

“This approach has already proven to be very successful.  As a network of agile independents working under the same umbrella we are able to move faster than the market’s monoliths and as a result our alternative approach is winning an ever increasing number of global clients.”
