CAC Specialty hires long-serving energy leader from large US broker

Global specialty broker  CAC Specialty has bolstered its natural resources division with another senior hire from McGriff.

Bill Chappell joins CAC as executive vice president of the natural resources division.

Chappell has over 30 years of experience, most recently as co-leader of energy property for US-based retail brokerage firm McGriff, where he served for over 19 years. Prior to that, he worked at Chubb as an underwriting officer for power and utilities, as well as Starr and FM Global.

In his new role, Chappell will develop innovative solutions for CAC’s energy clients, focused on all facets of the sector.

Chappell's appointment follows that of six new hires earlier this year as the broker continues to accelerate the expansion of its natural resources practice.
