China Life names successor to CFO who stepped down in August

China Life Insurance Company has appointed Zhao Lijun as chief financial officer (CFO). His nomination has been approved by China’s Insurance Regulatory Commission – CIRC.

Lijun had previously been made the vice president (VP) in July. He succeeds CFO and VP Yang Zheng, who resigned from the company in August this year.

Prior to this, Lijun served as the CEO and general manager of China Life’s finance department, after he moved from the data centre as general manager in 2014.

He has also served the legal and compliance department of the company as general manager from 2010 to 2012, and its Shandong branch for two years before that.

He held positions at the planning and finance department of People's Insurance Company of China (PICC), China Reinsurance in Hong Kong, China Insurance HK Holdings Company, and also China Life.

Lijun was nominated by China Life’s board of directors to become CFO.
