Chubb partners with Wizz Air
Property/casualty insurer Chubb has signed a partnership agreement with low-cost airline Wizz Air to provide the airline’s customers with travel and flight cancellation insurance cover.
The agreement is part of Chubb’s strategy to expand its travel insurance partnerships in Europe. Chubb is already the travel insurance provider for several airlines, online travel agencies and financial institutions.
Wizz Air operates primarily in Central and Eastern Europe. Travellers who book flights via its online platform and the Wizz Air mobile app are now able to add either travel or cancellation insurance cover, or both, depending on their location, provided by Chubb. The cover is available in 23 countries in Europe, and in 17 languages.
“Wizz Air’s customers can now benefit from our travel and flight cancellation offering which combines good terms, attractive price and, above all, excellent service and support in case of emergency and claims," said Donna Dorairajoo, regional manager, travel insurance for Chubb in Europe, Eurasia and Africa.
