Coface appoints new LatAm CEO from Swiss Re

Credit insurer Coface has appointed a new CEO for the Latin America region from Swiss Re Group.

Carmina Abad Sanchez will also join the executive committee and report to Xavier Durand, Group CEO.

Sanchez takes over from Bart Pattyn who after a 17-year career with the company has decided to pursue career opportunities outside of the Coface Group.

Sanchez has more than 30 years of experience, holding senior leadership positions in the insurance industry. Before joining Coface she was chairman of Swiss Re Group in Mexico and CEO of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Mexico. Previously, she has worked 25 years for MetLife in Mexico, Spain and the United States.
