Cowbell Cyber expands AI-powered insurance programme across US

Cowbell Cyber, a provider of artificial intelligence-powered cyber insurance to small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs), has expanded its standalone, admitted cyber insurance programme to 31 US states.

Cowbell said the roll-out is in response to changing market demand for transparent cyber insurance programmes that provide both financial protection and enable policyholders to proactively manage cyber risks.

According to the company, the surge in cyber crime, ransomware and social engineering attacks in 2020 has highlighted the need for cyber protection for all businesses.

Trent Cooksley, Cowbell Cyber's chief operating officer, said: "We want to enable every business to identify, quantify and mitigate their cyber risks by not only offering financial protection through insurance but also giving them immediate access to insights and recommendations to reduce such risks."
