Davies Group acquires Argent’s loss adjusting businesses
Davies Group, the insurance claims service provider, has acquired the Argent Liability Adjusters and Argent Property Adjusters businesses.
Davies says the deal adds technical strength and depth to its existing casualty and property businesses, as well as adding a new clinical negligence specialism and enlarged professional indemnity capability.
Under the terms of the deal, 66 staff join Davies. Neil Ventris, managing director, Argent, will support the integration, working closely with Dan Saulter, chief executive officer (CEO), Davies and Lesley Johnson, casualty managing director, Davies.
Argent Liability Adjusters was formed in 2003 and provides specialist casualty services, including clinical negligence, to brokers, the Lloyds market, and large corporates. Argent Property Adjusters (formerly Carmichaels) specialises in high value and complex property claims.
The Argent liability business will merge with Davies’ existing injury & disease business, Garwyn. Argent’s clinical negligence business, led by Erica Lindley, will be rebranded Davies Healthcare, a specialist business in Davies Casualty.
Argent Property will be re-launched as ‘Carmichaels – a Davies Company’ and will be led by Keith Curling, managing director, Keith who joins Davies senior team. Carmichaels will form a specialist unit within Davies Property.
