Dual appoints Novae exec as chief actuary

Dual, the underwriting arm of the Hyperion Insurance Group, has appointed Ian Hilder as chief actuary of Dual International.

Hilder joins Dual from Novae Group, where he most recently served as chief risk officer. Prior to Novae, he worked as a consulting actuary at EY and PwC. Hilder has over 20 years of experience in the London insurance market.

Richard Clapham, chief underwriting officer of Dual International and CEO of Dual Europe, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Ian to Dual; his wealth of actuarial experience and knowledge will be invaluable in ensuring that we continue to deliver the maximum return on capital to our carriers."
