EC3 Brokers hires Willis director for financial and professional lines

London-based EC3 Brokers has expanded its international financial and professional lines division with the appointment of John Collier as divisional director.

Collier was most recently a director at Willis Towers Watson, where he organised and managed complex insurance programmes for large international financial organisations. He has more than 28 years’ experience placing professional indemnity insurance, directors and officers liability, IPOs and financial offering insurance in national and international markets. He has worked in partnership with UK and offshore investment and fund managers, corporate service providers, and overseas law firms.

In his new role, Collier will work alongside David Purdy, fellow divisional director of the international financial and professional lines division. He will report to James Murphy, head of broking at EC3 Brokers.

Danny Driscoll, EC3 Brokers CEO, said: “John’s appointment marks the significant expansion of our financial and professional lines offering. His experience in the market enables him to design bespoke insurance policies for each of our clients. We’re very pleased and excited to have him on board.”

Collier commented: “This is a great opportunity for EC3 Brokers to advance in the international financial market. I am delighted to be working with David as we combine our knowledge and expertise to grow the business further afield.”
