Ed hires cat modelling specialist from Willis Re

Reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Ed has hired Willis Re executive Jo Kendall as head of catastrophe and exposure management.

Kendall will report to the group chief actuary, Jonathan Tilman.

Kendall was most recently at Willis Re where she led the London specialty cat modelling team. Prior to joining Willis Re, she worked for the broker Aon.

“Jo brings deep knowledge of cat modelling and exposure management to the team, including expertise in the use of Spatial Key. Her appointment is another significant step in the strengthening of Ed’s actuarial and catastrophe management capability, allowing us to devise more effective risk mitigation strategies for our clients,” said Tilman.
