Everest Re boosts Bermuda reinsurance leadership with new CEO and COO
Bermuda-based re/insurer Everest Re Group has appointed two executives to critical leadership roles within the reinsurance division.
Peter Bell has been named senior vice president, chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director of Bermuda.
Meanwhile, Ari Moskowitz has been appointed as senior vice president and chief operations officer (COO).
Both executives will report to Jim Williamson, Everest Re group chief operating officer and head of reinsurance.
Bell joined Everest in 2003 and has more than 30 years of experience in both insurance and reinsurance roles. He was most recently deputy managing director of Bermuda and now oversees all operations in Bermuda.
Moskowitz has 14 years of industry experience and joined Everest in 2019 as deputy chief pricing actuary for the reinsurance division. In his newly created role, he will continue to oversee reinsurance actuarial pricing and assume responsibility for claims, while also driving operational excellence across the division and leading critical strategic initiatives.
Williamson said: “I’m delighted to have two talented reinsurance executives taking on expanded roles at Everest. Both Ari and Peter have proven track records of excellence.”
