Fleming Re adds senior insurance banker and advisor to board

Bermuda-based Fleming Re, which provides structured reinsurance and finality solutions for legacy liabilities, has added Martin Dolan to its board as an independent non‐executive director.

Dolan will leverage his decades of experience in the reinsurance industry to assist in the strategic development of Fleming Re.

He had been a senior insurance banker for 27 years, working in Europe, the UK, Bermuda, and the US. During this time his work in the legacy field included projects with Lloyd's of London, Equitas, AIG, and various regulators including the State of Wisconsin which supervises many municipal bond insurers.

He was also a senior insurance banker and advisor to AIG during the financial crisis and has advised most Bermuda and onshore P&C companies on a full range of matters including corporate finance, restructuring, operations, and run-off.

Dolan is currently the senior principal at Dolan & Company, an independent corporate strategy and specialty finance advisory firm.

Stephen Minor, chairman of Fleming Re, said: "We are pleased to have Marty join us on the board. His deep cross‐border and legacy experience, backed by decades spent building relationships throughout the industry, will be a tremendous asset as we are preparing to diversify and scale Fleming Re."
