Former Zurich execs launch online broker
Former Zurich head of financial lines Markus Haefeli and former Zurich head of financial institutions, financial lines, Peter Schroeder, have launched Haefeli & Schroeder, an insurance broker specialising in financial lines.
Based in Switzerland, the startup offers partner brokers access to a web-based financial lines platform where they receive offers and bind insurance contracts with leading insurers within a few minutes at no additional cost, the company says on its website.
The financial lines platform covers the entire value chain of the insurer – from tendering and risk assessment to quotation, policy and invoice dispatch, according to the company. Due to its digital format, the platform can be accessed and used 24/7 and flexibly from anywhere.
Haefeli & Schroeder negotiates insurance solutions and makes them available to its partner broker. The best provider (in terms of content quality and price efficiency) is awarded the contract for the respective product. Depending on the product, panels with several insurers can also be selected.
The startup also offers claims management services including preparation and negotiation of formulated terms & conditions, support and care of claims handling as well as negotiations with the insurer to ensure that cover commitments are met in claims processing.
