Greenlight Re expands board with former XL, Hamilton, KPMG leaders

Specialist property/casualty reinsurer  Greenlight Re has expanded its board of directors with former executives from  XL Group,  Hamilton Insurance Group and  KPMG.

Johnny Ferrari (pictured left), Ursuline Foley (pictured right) and Victoria Guest have all been appointed as independent directors of the board.

Ferrari is currently a consultant to companies in the financial services industry after having retired from KPMG International in June 2021, where he specialised in providing audit services to companies in the banking, insurance and asset management industries. Ferrari held multiple roles for KPMG and its member firms, including serving as chief operating officer for audit quality for KPMG EMA Region and as an audit partner for KPMG Cayman Islands, including serving as partner in charge of risk management. He also served as a member of KPMG’s executive management committee and participated on the audit quality professional practice steering committee.

Foley currently serves on the board of directors of Provident Financial Services, and Provident Bank and is a member of the risk and technology committees, as well as serves as a director of DOCOsoft, a provider of software solutions for the global insurance and financial services markets. Previously, Foley served as chief corporate operations officer and managing director of XL Group (now AXA XL). She has also held several senior management roles, including chief information officer, chief data officer, enterprise enablement strategy for XL Group and senior vice president, chief information officer of reinsurance and financial lines for XL Reinsurance.

Guest currently serves on the board of directors of the Bessemer Group. Previously, she was general counsel and corporate Secretary of Hamilton Insurance Group. Guest has also served as general counsel and corporate secretary of SAC Re Holdings, as well as Ariel Holdings and RAM Holdings.
