Specialty brokerage Ryan Specialty has been losing producers to independent specialty wholesale P&C broker Brown & Riding in 2026 and will now see its producer employment restrictions put to the test of California law, what departing producers are saying in litigation are “the nation’s strongest and most well-known statutory prohibition on restrictive covenants.”
