Guy Carpenter creates new global role for Willis Re's Livingston

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Company, a Marsh & McLennan company, has hired Willis Re's Jeffrey Livingston for the newly created global head of sales role.

Livingston will also join Guy Carpenter's executive committee.

He will be responsible for leading all of Guy Carpenter’s sales activities, and developing commercial strategies to help clients realise their business growth goals. Livingston will report to Peter Hearn, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter.

Livingston brings almost 30 years of industry experience to the role, operating extensively in the broking arena and across both the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Most recently, he was vice chair, North America at Willis Re and prior to that was director of portfolio solutions at Marsh. Earlier in his career, he also held senior positions at Willis Re after starting his professional journey at Sedgwick Re.

Hearn said: “Demand for reinsurance solutions continues to grow as they become an increasingly strategic component of effective capital management. We have created the position of Global Head of Sales to ensure that we are delivering the best of Guy Carpenter to our clients and prospects across the globe. Jeffrey is an outstanding industry professional with an innate ability to understand clients’ needs. I am confident that he will excel in this role and will further enhance our ability to deliver more dynamic and impactful solutions to our clients.”
