HDI Global appoints new short-tail business leader in Germany
Industrial lines insurer HDI Global SE has appointed a new line manager for its short-tail business in Germany that includes underwriting and account management in the property and multi-risk insurance, engineering insurance, marine insurance and fleet insurance lines.
Michael Westhoff will take up the new position, based in Hannover, starting July 2021. He will work closely with the branch offices of HDI Global in Germany.
Westhoff takes over the position from Jürgen Rolke, who is set to retire at the end of December.
Westhoff has more than 25 years of industry experience, having worked for national and international insurers and brokers in the industrial and corporate arena. He has also held management roles that included portfolio management, customer support and sales.
Andreas Luberichs, member of the management board of HDI Global SE, noted that Westhoff has an outstanding knowledge of the national and global industrial insurance industry. "This knowledge and his highly developed customer-centric approach give him the capability to enhance our reputation as a reliable and competent insurance partner for our industrial and Group customers," he said.
Luberichs thanked Rolke for his "outstanding and pioneering" work during his long career with the company. "[Rolke's] in-depth knowledge about the industry and about HDI has made him a defining element of HDI. Employees and our customers too will miss him when he leaves the company at the end of the year after more than fifty years of service in order to enjoy his well-earned retirement.”
