HDI nabs Aon/Zurich/Swiss Re cyber talent for lead underwriter role

Industrial lines insurer  HDI Global SE has hired Aon’s senior cyber broker to take up an important position at its Swiss location in Zurich.

Alexander Tlili (pictured) has joined  HDI as its new lead cyber underwriter for its branch office in Switzerland. His predecessor, Christian La Fontaine, has held the position of head customer, distribution & marketing since March 2022.

Most recently, Tlili worked as a senior cyber broker at Aon, having joined the global broker in October last year from Zurich Insurance Group. At Zurich, he served as financial lines PI and cyber S&P underwriter. Prior to that, Tlili held various underwriting roles for nearly five years at Swiss Re.

In his new role, Tlili will report to Ana Sesar, head specialties, who said: “Alexander brings a huge wealth of experience to our Cyber Team. This places us in an ideal position to meet the upcoming challenges in a dynamic market.”

Meike Röllecke, head cyber & financial lines of  HDI Global SE from Hannover, added: “We are delighted to have recruited Alexander as an experienced cyber underwriter who will drive forward our cyber line in Switzerland during a dynamic market phase, and in the context of a complex and challenging risk landscape.”
