Hiscox appoints CFO for reinsurance, ILS
Specialist insurer Hiscox has appointed Liz Breeze as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of its reinsurance and alternative capital business Hiscox Re & ILS, based in Bermuda.
Breeze has been working with Hiscox Re & ILS as its interim CFO since June this year. Prior to that, she spent four years as head of finance for Hiscox’s UK retail operations, and several years as Hiscox Group technical accountant – being part of the team that worked on the initial set-up and structure of the insurer’s insurance-linked securities (ILS) business.
The insurer also recently promoted Andrew Dolphin to chief operating officer (COO) Hiscox Re & ILS.
Mike Krefta, CEO Hiscox Re & ILS, commented: “Liz is a very welcome addition to the Hiscox Re & ILS team. We are already benefiting from Liz’s knowledge of our business and deep finance expertise, and are delighted that we will continue to do so.”
Breeze added: “It’s great to be able to bring my knowledge from other parts of the Hiscox Group to our reinsurance and ILS operations. Returning to Bermuda is personally very exciting for me, and I’m proud to be leading such an experienced finance team.”
