Insurance partner recruited by Hogan Lovells

Helen Chapman has been appointed partner in the insurance and reinsurance group of Hogan Lovells.

Chapman joins the firm from Pool Reinsurance, where she was general counsel and company secretary.

This is a return to Hogan Lovells for Chapman as she worked for the firm for nine years before going to Pool Re for 18 months.

She has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector having worked in both Pool Re and Willis, the global broker.

"Helen has extensive experience of contentious and non-contentious matters in the insurance and reinsurance sector and she is an important part of our strategy to grow the insurance practice at Hogan Lovells," said Patrick Sherrington, co-head of the litigation, arbitration and employment group at Hogan Lovells.
