Insurtech platform mea hires Accenture data & AI leader
Mea, an AI-powered processing platform for the insurance industry, has hired a managing director from Accenture to drive growth in the UK market.
Graeme Asquith has joined the firm as UK managing director.
Asquith previously served at Accenture, where he was the data and AI leader for insurance. He joined Accenture after its acquisition of Mudano, a specialist data and AI financial services consultancy where he was chief customer officer.
Martin Henley, CEO of mea platform, commented: “We are very pleased to have attracted Graeme to mea; his deep and wide relationships across the industry, combined with his 30 years of industry knowledge, complement the mea approach of having true experts in our go-to market locations. This is the perfect moment for us to welcome Graeme to the team. mea has quickly established itself as the leading process automation platform globally, with implementations in 19 countries and 10 languages. Now is the time to strengthen our leadership in key markets, such as the UK. Graeme’s track record in the industry and passion for reinventing the way insurance operates are the perfect match for mea’s business model and growth ambitions.”
Asquith said: “I’m passionate about using technology to reinvent traditional ways of working within insurance, an industry I’ve worked in for my entire 30-year career. In my recent roles, I’ve helped pioneer the use of AI to tackle inefficiencies across the insurance value chain and unlock new sources of business value. I’ve learned that the trick is to combine industry experts with technologists to find the most significant business problems and design the best solutions to drive maximum value. This is what mea has done so brilliantly and why their platform is in such demand across the globe, no more so than here in the UK. I’m hugely excited about being part of the next stage of their journey.”
