JLT launches in Turkey
Broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) is set to launch operations in Turkey.
The new venture, JLT Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği Ltd. Şirketi, will be based in Istanbul.
JLT said the venture was in line with its strategy of expanding its capabilities in markets where long-term growth is supported by fundamental macro-economic trends and a growing demand for JLT's specialist focus.
Servet Gϋrkan will lead the operation. He previously held the position of head of the Turkey broker association.
Both JLT Turkey and GrECo JLT, an existing retail venture in Turkey established in 2013 by GrECo, will provide clients with access to global markets and JLT's specialist expertise in areas such as agriculture, aviation, construction, energy, financial lines, marine, mining and treaty reinsurance.
