JLT Re hires former Guy Carpenter MD

JLT Re has appointed Aaron Bueler, who is currently a managing director at Guy Carpenter, to the role of executive vice president and managing broker.

Bueler starts this role on September 8, once his contractual obligations with the Guy Carpenter are complete.

Based in JLT Re’s Seattle office, Bueler will report to George Daddario, deputy chief executive officer (CEO) of JLT Re in North America.

Bueler has nearly 30 years of experience, having previously worked at Sedgwick Re, which became Guy Carpenter in 1999.

At Guy Carpenter, he led the workers’ compensation specialty practice for over 10 years.

He has also previously led the terrorism specialty practice from its inception, where he worked with brokers, clients, reinsurers and the US Department of Treasury to coordinate the terrorism risk insurance program into client risk strategies.

Daddario said: "We are delighted Aaron is joining the team. While Aaron will be focused on business development, his expertise and experience means he will be adding strategic insights across our platform.

“As he has previously led national workers’ compensation and terrorism risk practices, we expect Aaron to focus on related opportunities and work closely with our teams in these specialty areas”.
