Lancashire names non-exec director

Lancashire Holdings has appointed Robert Lusardi as a non-executive director, effective 8 July 2016.

At the same time, non-executive director Emma Duncan has decided to step down, following the completion of almost six years of service on the Lancashire board.

Lusardi has held a number of senior executive position in the financial services industry.

He started his career with Lehman Brothers, ultimately as managing director in charge of the insurance and asset management practices.

Between 1998 and 2005, Lusardi was a member of the executive management board of XL Group, serving variously as group chief financial officer and chief executive officer (CEO) of one of XL’s three operating division.
Between 2005 and 2010, Lusardi served as executive vice president of White Mountains and CEO of certain subsidiaries.

In this time, he also served as CEO of PremierRe Holdings, a private insurance entity.

He has also served as director of Symetra Financial Corporation, and also director of a number of insurance-related entities including Primus Guaranty and OneBeacon Insurance Group. He has also been chairman of Pentelia and Pareto Partners.

The board has appointed Robert as a member of our audit, remuneration and investment committees.
