Liberty appoints first head of client management in London Market

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has created a new leadership role to deepen its relationships with clients and brokers in the London Market.

Laura Burns (pictured) has been appointed to the newly created role of head of client management.

Burns will be responsible for managing client relationships for  LSM’s London Market brokers and global products, and for building and delivering a focussed client management strategy to meet their needs. Based in London, she will report to Mark Stephenson, head of business development.

Burns joined  LSM in 2010. Her most recent role was head of broker management in the London Market. Prior to joining  LSM she worked for Mitsui Sumitomo. She started her insurance career in 2006.

Stephenson said: “The role is designed to give us an in-depth understanding of our clients evolving wants and needs, so that we can deliver high performance to support them. Laura’s knowledge and experience of the London Market, along with her excellent relationship building skills will be key to helping her to deliver a robust client management strategy.”
