Liberty hires AIG underwriter for new European role

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Marnix de Kievit to the newly-created role of senior underwriter professional indemnity for the Netherlands.

Kievit joins LSM from AIG where he was a professional liability and cyber underwriter for over four years. Prior to this, he was with Schouten Insurance International, a Netherlands-based professional indemnity cover holder.

Based in Hague, Kievit will report to Rob Groenen, country manager for Netherlands. He will work alongside Jeroen Kisters on the sustainable growth of the professional indemnity book of business and cyber insurances.

LSM head of Europe, Kadidja Sinz, commented: "Marnix’s appointment to this newly-created specialist role signals our continued commitment to develop a comprehensive suite of products. These will deliver to our brokers’ and clients’ needs as we expand and invest in the European market."
