Liberty Mutual swoops for Zurich VP to head inland marine business

Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Dan Feige as division underwriting manager for its inland marine unit.

Based in New York, Feige will be responsible for strategically growing Liberty Mutual’s large inland marine business.

Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Feige served as vice president of North American product underwriting at Zurich Insurance and headed the marine and engineering lines. He also held numerous positions at Hartford Financial Services Group, including Northeast division manager.

“Dan’s nearly 20 years of inland marine underwriting and product management experience will help him profitably expand our presence in the large inland marine market,” said Mike Martin, executive vice president, general manager, Liberty Mutual National Insurance Property.

Liberty Mutual’s national insurance property operation provides a full range of commercial property products, including single-carrier, shared and layered, multinational, equipment breakdown, and inland marine.
