Lloyd’s appoints The Zygos Partnership to find chairman successor

Lloyd's of London has appointed The Zygos Partnership, an executive search firm specialising in finding chairmen, to assist in finding a successor to John Nelson, its current chairman.

Nelson has confirmed he will step down in May 2017, and would retire at the Lloyd's annual general meeting.

Nelson was originally scheduled to run until October 2017, as part of his second three-year period. He was appointed chairman by the council of Lloyd's in 2011.

He was previously the director of JP Morgan Cazenove and Cazenove Group between 2008 and 2010 and the chairman of the London Investment Banking Association between 2001 and 2002.

He has also worked as senior advisor of Charterhouse Captial Partners since 2006.
