Lloyd's managing agent Coverys hires underwriter from RenRe

Coverys Managing Agency, the Lloyd’s managing agent of Syndicates 1975 and 1991, has appointed Xiaohan Fang as an underwriter for Syndicate 1975.

Fang will primarily focus on underwriting North American medical professional liability business.

Prior to joining Coverys, he most recently served as senior pricing actuary at Renaissance Re. He also held the role of divisional actuary at Liberty Specialty Markets where he specialised in providing major account pricing for professional lines and medical malpractice. Fang has over a decade of actuarial and pricing experience.

Coverys has recently made a number of underwriting hires, including the appointment of Robert Forster as director of underwriting and Valentina Minetti as active underwriter of Syndicate 1975.
